GoodMen Project: Who is Kent George

by Nick Johnson

If you guys haven’t figured out by now, I FULLY SUPPORT The GoodMen Project simply because this cause has absolutely changed my life!

The first time I opened the packaging I sat with my oldest son and put the DVD in the player. As I sat and watched these grown men tell their stories, I couldn’t help but to relate to most of them.

My two oldest kids lost their mother to a terminal disease February 21st of 2007. It’s been nearly 3 years since her death and I’ve done absolutely everything I can as a father to support them. When watching this DVD and the stories of the Fathers, it really hit me personally. When the next set of stories about Sons it was something I couldn’t keep a dry eye about. My oldest son is the strongest person I know. He has lost so much and yet he stays strong for his little sister. It’s hard for me to think about him and not feel the overwhelming feeling of being Proud of my son for his courage through his struggles. He truly is a stronger man than I for all that he’s been through and all that he will endure. For that, he is my personal hero!

I’ve had the privilege of connecting with Tom Matlack on Twitter and have made him aware that I fully support his cause and will do anything within my power to help and just be a part of it, even if it’s in a the smallest form. He’s recently asked me to make those within my circle of influence to view this segment that is straight out of his DVD and I certainly am honored to do so. This segment highlighting Kent George was especially special to me. I can’t tell you exactly why as I don’t want to get too personal into my life but I will tell you, that it is not only worth the watch, this story alone will without a doubt connect with either you or someone you know and his story.

Please take a moment to watch his story and sincerely consider visiting GoodMenBoook.org and see other stories and support this most noble cause. It has changed my life and I suspect it will change yours.
